Dear Emmy,

You're better than that.
Aren't we going to change for the better this year?
Life is happening right now and you're missing it because you want to live in the past.
Don't do that.
I know you loved him. I know what you felt for him.
But he made a choice. And there's nothing you can do about it.
Don't spend time convincing someone you're good enough.
If they don't see it, then that's not your problem.
If they don't like ice cream, why change their mind?
You don't like yogurt right?
But is that wrong? Of course not.
You just want a different flavor and that's ok.
It's ok they don't want anything more.
It's just their preference, and that's fine.
You may had a little more nuts in your mix, enough to turn them away,
But that doesn't make your mix a bad batch.
Ok?
Just move on.
Wish them well and walk away with your head up high.
There are so many things to discover in the world and I don't plan on wasting it.
I wasted enough time already. Not anymore.
