Why can't I say it? Why is it taboo?
To say how you feel, the "I love YOU?
Because it's too soon? Don't know how my heart feels?
It's too crazy, it's not yet real"
Why all the restrictions? Why hold back?
It just brings me tears, to hold in something so dear.
"I love you"!!! That's it! Nothing else to say
My heart POUNDING, hoping you feel the same way.
"Let's not rush things, it's too soon", the excuses I hear.
But is that true, or just your fear?
HOLD ME IN YOUR ARMS! Kiss me all night long!
I will always love you, now and for now on.
I love you, that's all I have to say.
Please listen, don't blow me away.
I'm scared, not from the potential rejection you may,
But from the cultural "norms" that stands in the way.
It's ok to love. It's ok to speak.
So now I'm telling you, my heart is at it's peek.
Hold me close and feel my chest
Feel my warmth, feel my breast.
